IKIGAI : Japanese secret to a long and happy life
I don't know If it is just me, but I find it really difficult to complete reading a self help book💭🤔. Now that I ponder over it, maybe because every sentence is oozing with meaning, purpose and so much wisdom about various things that a short read makes my head feel heavy as a hammer🔨 and I need time to process it.
This book reinforces the idea of finding an activity that we love and keep doing it , if that feels fulfilling to you known as ikigai and if you have none, then explore. Build good connection of friends and keep them close. 80% rule for eating, try creating multiple sources of income and take responsibility of your life.
Needless to say, I have seen this book being recommended by several acclaimed people, booktubers , FB book groups and thought I should read formyself and see if it helps me in any way.

The book explains all the above and many more by introducing us to a place named Okinawa in Japan, the centenarians living there, studing their habits and other centenarians in blue zones of the world. Being mindful of stress and impermanence of life when faced with difficult times.
I enjoyed reading it, not that I got to know something out of the world but just getting to know the same things from the people who have lived life for a very long time, been through the ebbs and tides of life just proves the importance of balancing mental, physical , emotional and financial well being of a person.🌹
